Does WalletCast connect to my bank?
No. You enter your income, bills, installments and loans, and WalletCast forecasts from them. Every week or two, tap Update Balance on the Dashboard and enter what your banking app shows; the forecast starts again from there.
Why is the forecast different from my bank?
Real spending never follows a plan exactly. Update your balance with what your bank shows, including anything already paid or received today. For bills that change each month, like electricity, turn on “Amount changes each month” and enter what you really paid when it’s due.
My data doesn’t appear on my other device
- Sign in to the same Apple Account on both devices, with iCloud turned on for WalletCast (Settings > your name > iCloud).
- Open WalletCast on both, connected to the internet, and give it a moment.
- WalletCast’s Settings shows whether iCloud sync is on and when it last synced.
I have a new phone
With iCloud on, install WalletCast and wait on the “Looking for your data in iCloud” screen; your data comes back by itself. Without iCloud, use Export Full Backup on the old phone and Import & Replace on the new one.
I don’t see the outlook or “Describe It”
These use Apple Intelligence, so they appear only on devices that support it, with Apple Intelligence turned on in the Settings app and set to a supported language. They can also be turned off in WalletCast’s Settings.
How do I use WalletCast with Siri?
Say “What’s my balance in WalletCast”, “Add a payment in WalletCast”, “What’s my lowest balance in WalletCast” or “What do I have to pay this week in WalletCast”. The same actions are in the Shortcuts app. Your device needs to be unlocked.
I deleted something by mistake
Shake your iPhone, or swipe left with three fingers, to undo the last change.
I paid off a loan early, or skipped a payment
Touch and hold the loan or installment and choose Paid Off, or Skip Month. A skipped month moves the later payments a month on; to undo a skip, edit the item and swipe the month away under Skipped Months.
Do tips unlock anything?
No. WalletCast is free, and tips in Settings > Tip Jar only support its development.
