WalletCast doesn’t collect any data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and I (the developer) never receive the financial information you enter.
What you enter and where it’s kept
Your income, bills, payments, balance and settings are stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on for WalletCast, they’re also kept in your private iCloud database so they’re the same on all your devices. That database belongs to your Apple Account: only you can read it, and I can’t. Apple stores it under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Apple Intelligence
The written outlook, filling in a payment from a sentence, and category suggestions use Apple’s on-device language model. What they read stays on your device. You can turn these features off in WalletCast’s Settings.
Siri and Shortcuts
When you ask Siri about WalletCast, Apple handles your voice request under its own privacy policy. WalletCast answers on your device, from the data stored there.
Face ID and Touch ID
App Lock uses the system’s Face ID, Touch ID or passcode check. WalletCast only learns whether you unlocked it; it never receives biometric data.
Tips
Tips are In-App Purchases handled by Apple. I receive sales reports from Apple without your name or payment details.
Backups and share links
Export Full Backup and Share Recent Changes create a file on your device, and you choose where it goes. A shared item link (walletcast://) contains that item’s details in readable form, so anyone you send it to can see them. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you share it.
Deleting your data
Deleting WalletCast removes its data from that device. Items you delete inside WalletCast while iCloud is on are removed from iCloud and your other devices too, so to remove the iCloud copy, delete your items in the app before deleting it. You can also remove WalletCast’s data in your iCloud storage settings (Settings > your name > iCloud) if it’s listed there.
Children
WalletCast isn’t directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
